Bringing home a new puppy is so exciting but it can be a little overwhelming to think about what kind of products that you need at the start of this adventure. I have compiled this list of all of the products that I use on a regular basis. You don't need everything right away, our go home pack is pretty well stocked with the basics for the first few days, but it never hurts to be prepared with some of the other stuff too.

I use a 24" for 8 week old puppies, then upgrade to 36" or 42" when they outgrow it. You can get a bigger kennel right away and use the provided divider to make it the proper size for pup, but I find it easier to have just have both sizes. You can always sell the baby one on Marketplace when you no longer need it. Remember, kennel training takes time. It is possible that pup might need 2 or 3 months before they are fully comfortable sleeping in the kennel for extended periods. Just go slow and stick with it- they will get it!
These are the beds that I use for the pups here at Diamond H Ranch. There are so many styles, you can't really go wrong, I just find these super cozy, not too expensive, the puppies like them and they are easy to pull off the cover and pop in the washer to clean when needed.
An ex-pen around the kennel provides a safe place for puppy to be while unsupervised, before they are fully kennel trained. A spare bedroom, bathroom, entry way, etc, would also do the trick. We just want a puppy safe place, where they can't get into too much trouble or hurt themselves if you have to leave them alone.
High Value Treats should be readily available and at arms reach at all times during the first few months with puppy. I prefer homemade fresh treats whenever possible- they are healthier, tastier, and more cost effective. However, store bought treats are nice because they are cleaner and easier to store. Any of these My Mighty Wolf soft chew flavours are fantastic, my dogs love them, and they are pretty healthy.
This donut bed is a must have for any dog! Puppies and adults dogs alike just love to curl up in this bed. There are bigger sizes available as pup grows, but this one is perfect for the first few months.
This velvety soft puppy plush is a high quality toy, with a velcro pouch that contains a vibrating heart beat simulator and replaceable heat pack. Some puppies take great comfort in this toy for the first few nights away from their littermates, and even many months later. I keep a couple of these pups in the pen from about 5 weeks so they will be a familiar item.
